Cheese

Chefs Cheese Selection £13.95

Cashel Blue is produced by the Grubb family on their farm in Ireland. The cheese has been made since the early 1980s. It is a semi-soft blue cheese made from cow's milk that has a creamy texture with a mild flavour. It has a good balance of saltiness and creaminess, and the blue veins contribute a tangy and slightly spicy element to the overall taste. Cashel Blue is aged for about three months.

Westcombe Cheddar One of only three cheeses classed as ‘Artisan Somerset Cheddar’ by Slow Food UK, Westcombe Cheddar is our flagship cheese: a handcrafted, traditional clothbound cheddar made from unpasteurised milk right here in the hills of East Somerset.

Baron Bigod is the finest traditional Brie-de-Meaux style cheese produced in the UK and one of only a handful of its type in the world to be made by the farmer on the farm. Beneath the nutty, mushroomy rind, Baron Bigod has a smooth, silky golden breakdown which will often ooze out over a delicate, fresh and citrussy centre.

Served with Quince Jelly, Apple, Grapes, and Biscuits

We also have a selection of Ports which are ideal complements to our selection of cheeses, please check the wine list for the full selection.
